Hurricanes Katrina & Rita
As a result of Gruber & Gruber’s success in prosecuting claims for insured’s after the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Gruber & Gruber was approached by counsel in Louisiana to investigate misconduct by insurers after the devastating Hurricanes, Katrina and Rita.
As a result of the investigation, Gruber & Gruber concluded that the overwhelming majority of insurance companies were underpaying all of their insured’s.
Gruber & Gruber successfully filed a series of class actions to force the insurers to treat their insured’s fairly, all based primarily upon the failure of the insurers to pay a reasonable amount for General Contractor Overhead and Profit.
